FOOTFALL

Overall retail footfall decreased by 2% in the week to 10 August 2025, compared with the previous week, but remained 3% higher than the equivalent week of 2024.*

BACK-TO-SCHOOL

New research has shown that the UK back-to-school market is set to reach £8.82bn in 2025, with parents spending an average of £329 per child.** By 2030, the market is expected to reach £10.85bn, with a compound annual growth rate of 4% between 2025 and 2030.** In 2024, the top three back-to-school retail stores in       Britain were Asda , Tesco and Amazon. Specialised uniform stores are also widely shopped, as was Marks and Spencer. Sainsbury’s came in at number six.***
